Kefir Ice Lollies

When making ice-lollies I try to keep it simple. My kids have very sensitive taste buds and when I try to sneak too many extras in it often puts them off. However, it’s all about what works for you and if you can sneak some spinach and beetroot in then you are on to a winner!!

Our Favourite Cherry Kefir Ice-lollies

500ml Milk Kefir
250g Cherries*
4-5 tbs Raw Honey or Maple Syrup
1/2 tsp Vanilla extract OR 3-4 drops Vanilla Stevia Drops (use less honey or maple syrup)

Blend, freeze, and serve!
*Substitute with any seasonal fruit….We love strawberries, blueberries, peaches, foraged blackberries……

Vegan(ish)* Mango Coconut Kefir Ice-lollies
500ml Coconut Kefir
2 Bananas
200g Mango
4-5 tbs Maple Syrup or Raw Honey (honey is not vegan)
1/2 tsp Vanilla extract OR 3-4 drops Vanilla Stevia Drops (use less honey or maple syrup)

Blend, freeze, and serve!
Substitute with any seasonal fruit.
*I say vegan (ish) because when I make coconut milk kefir I do not use dairy and I rinse my grains in f before adding them to the coconut milk. However the grains are initially grown in dairy and will go back into to dairy intermittently in order to thrive. Therefore this makes this recipe not entirely vegan friendly.
